DIYC welcomes Anna Tobias and race clinic participants for a four day intensive race clinic aimed to improve your competitive edge through an intensive clinic covering a wide array of critical skillsets on and off the water. A blurb on Anna's background: "2008 Olympic Gold Medalist, 2x Olympian, 2x World Sailor of the Year, and 2022 US Sailing Team ILCA 6 coach. Growing up around sailing, at the age of 12 Anna decided she wanted to win a Gold Medal at the Olympics. From there, her sailing career unfolded and in 2008 she brought home the Gold Medal for USA. After that she went into Match Racing and finished 5th in the 2012 Olympics. She took a small break from sailing to focus on her CrossFit career before returning to the sailing team coaching the US ILCA 6 Olympic Development Team in 2017. In 2018 she teamed up with Paris Henken and made a run for the 2020 Olympics in the 49er FX, this time as a crew. After loosing the trials on a tie, she then took to coaching the US Sailing Team ILCA 6 squad." The final price is expected to range from approximately $350 to $900 dependent on the number of people who sign up. The remaining balance (total cost of clinic less the deposit amount) will be due one week prior to the clinic. The clinic has a limited capacity and is first open to RS Aero owners. If open spots are still available, Laser sailors will be invited to join. A specific clinic schedule will be released as the clinic nears.
