Roadrunners Square Dance Club will be offering beginner square dance lessons starting on January 7, 2023. Today's square dancing is not like you remember it from school or maybe what you percieve it to be. We dance to all kinds of music, country, pop, rock, you name it our callers have done it. We are lively dancers and like to get a little loud at times. It is all about having fun and fun comes in many different ways. You may even have a new way to show us. If you have been looking for an activity that will offer you meeting new people, helping with your workout regiment, helping you to keep your mind sharp and active, this is the activity for you. If you have a friend or friends they are more than welcome to come and join us. If you don't have anyone that is interested, don't let that keep you away. We have plenty of angels, helpers, that will work with you at the lessons. Our club members come from all backgrounds and are great folks to get to know. It does not matter what your status is outside of square dancing, in our club we are all the same and are here to help and make you feel a part of our community. When you are dancing your mind is focused on listening to the caller for the next move. For me this was a great way to forget about any outside things that taxed my brain. For 2 plus hours at a dance, I can just focus on having fun and forget all the distractions that are going on in my life. Our lessons will start on Saturday January 7th and go for 6 Saturdays, finishing up on February 11th. Start time is 9:00 AM and will go to noonish. Lesson location is Swingtime Center in Ft.
