3:30-7PM Bethel Public Library
What did we do before the internet? ZINES!
A zine is a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images and Bethel CT Pride will be assembling our very own 8.5 x 5.5" group zine from the art or writing you make during this drop-in workshop. You can create original writing or drawings, collage, blackout poetry, or whatever your heart desires.
We'll provide markers, scissors, paper, images, and glue but feel free to bring additional images, short written pieces or poetry, and 2D art supplies that aren't messy (no glitter or oil-based art supplies) you'd like to use. We’ll be making a simple fold-over style zine using 8.5 X 11” copy paper. The host will help you design and line up pages correctly for reproduction. We’ll be photocopying and assembling them for later distribution. You’ll be given an envelope to self address to receive our very first group zine in the mail!
This is an event for ages 13 and up. Parents are free to stay if they wish, but can also just drop off kids and pick them up later.
