Bluming Fields (www.blumingfields.farm) is looking for a highly motivated, passionate farmer that wants to take on a long-term initiative, can learn quickly, and manage multiple work streams in tandem. The Agroforestry Farm Manager will have 5+ years experience in running a prior agroforestry project. The farm has several ongoing projects that will fall under this person's responsibility, including managing existing forest in collaboration with the USDA and DEC, defining a comprehensive agroforestry plan, sourcing materials and short-term staff (when needed), caring for horses being boarded on the property, helping to coordinate with a solar team adding a 15 acre array to the property, and overseeing an airBnB on the property. This will be the first growing season for this operation and will, potentially, include growing maple, cedar, chestnut, oak trees, pawpaws, and ginseng, alongside sheep, chickens, and/or cattle. This is a full-time position offering a salary between $50,000 - $60,000, free housing on the farm, a 10% profit share from operations, and health benefits.
