ISO 2nd guitarist

New York City NY

Description

We're a gigging/recording indie blues rock band, looking for a second guitarist who's easygoing and loves to play blues rock-type tunes. We mostly do originals (think Black Keys and Al Shakes) but we love a good cover too. Our musical vibe is punchy, with sax, slide guitar, B3, harmonica, etc., just to give you a flavor of the thing. We're not looking for rhythm only! The 2nd guitar would be as much a lead/rhythm presence as our current guitarist. Basically, we're aiming for a more Allman kinda sound, with dual leads, guitar harmonies, acoustic/electric pairings, slide/standard pairings, you get the idea. The big component to all that, of course, is everyone being a supportive team player. You can hear some of our originals here: https://open.spotify.com/artist/33cskAFJcq82XIQnokDMd5?si=hBteE0gCSY-B2dUodk9Mug We have a dedicated practice space in LIC off the 33rd St 7-line that we can use on Monday and/or Wednesday evenings and have never had problems lining up shows (often paid, multi-set). Most of us enjoy a beer now and again and have no problem with smokers. The only associated cost is monthly rent (~$40/ea.) but the gigs often cover that. Ideally, you're in your 20s or early 30s, but that's not a hard and fast thing. Hit us up with some samples and what you're all about!
