Join our fly-tying experts and learn how to tie some of the most effective flies for both salt- and freshwater. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings with Session 1 beginning November 9, 2022 and ending January 18, 2023. (There will be no class on December 28.) Session 2 begins January 25 and ends March 22, 2023. NEW! Each night we are offering a Beginner Class from 5-6:30pm followed by an Intermediate Class from 7-8:30pm. Please do not sign up for both. Session 2 will be a repeat of Session 1, allowing students to graduate from beginner to intermediate level or repeat a session. WEEK 7 Beginner Pearl Zonker. Zonkers are a style of fly that uses rabbit strips to create a streamer style fly with lots of movement. Zonkers are a great fly to use during early season or high water situations. The Pearl Zonker can be a great smelt imitation and is extra effective due to its flash of red in the throat area.
