Russell Jeung, PhD, is a Professor of Asian American Studies at San Francisco State University and co-founder of Stop AAPI Hate, a coalition that addresses anti-Asian racism and xenophobia amid the COVID-19 pandemic. For his work with STOP AAPI Hate, he was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2021. He is the author of several books on race and religion including “At Home in Exile: Finding Jesus among My Ancestors & Refugee Neighbors” and “Mountain Movers: Student Activism & the Emergence of Asian American Studies.
