The Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois is a Domestic Violence Crisis Agency that supports survivors by offering resources that empower them to make safe choices. We service St. Clair, Monroe and Randolph County. Purple One is a 4-hour training that teaches community members how to become prosocial bystanders against domestic violence. We will learn how to Recognize potential Domestic Violence Situations. How to respond to these events in real time and most importantly how to refer survivors to appropriate services from state recognized Domestic Violence Crisis Agencies. Any business, with a physical location that completes the training, will be able to apply to become a Safe Place in the Purple One network.
