Coming up on March 18, 2023. This event celebrates the eradication of Caulerpa taxifolia and helps to raise friends, funds and awareness about our amazing Agua Hedionda Lagoon. These unique courses have one of a kind views of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon and Pacific Ocean. This is a fun run/walk, but it is not a chip race. A shuttle will be provided to take participants back to their cars at both locations. Party after the race! Both runs end at the Agua Hedionda Discovery Center located at 1580 Cannon Road. Join in on the bash and World Water Day Festival from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. Music, exhibits, presentations and more! World Water Day 9:00AM to 12:00PM, Saturday March 18th, 2023 (at the finish line of Tip Top Run) Free Community Event. Food and drinks available for purchase. Gift Shop open. If you are attending only World Water Day, you must park across the Street on Whitman Way. Meigs Family Foundation and Thermo Fisher Scientific Brings Water to Life with magical tables featuring STEAM Water Experiments. AHLF Peregrine Falcon Presentation on the importance of clean bodies of water for this species and beyond. 10:30am in Nature Node #6. Discovery Center exhibits open featuring a water table, permeable surface exhibit, low use water garden and more. Exhibitors to answer all of your water saving needs. Costume Contest With St. Patrick's Day precluding this race it’s only fitting that you wear your green! A prize will be given to the top two costume contest winners (to be voted on by a select group of volunteers) as you cross the finish line Win Prizes for fastest adult and child in both the 5k and 10k race course will be given out. As well, we will be awarding the largest corporate team with a prize.
