Ken is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and has been a member of Sherwood Baptist Church since February 2007. After 20 years of active service in the United States Marine Corps, including tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, Ken retired to serve in the ministry and presently the Associate Pastor of Assimilation and Events" at Sherwood Baptist Church. In addition to his daily responsibilities, Ken may be recognized by his role as Lieutenant Michael Simmons in the 2008 inspirational movie "Fireproof" and for his role as Nathan Hayes in "Courageous." Ken is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology and a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School with a Master of Business Administration degree in Logistics Management. He has been interviewed on numerous TV shows including "Fox and Friends" and "Huckabee." Ken and Lauana have been happily married for 16 years and have two children, Kyra and Kaleb. Dennis Swanberg - an encouraging speaker, comedian, and humorist, served the local church in pastoral ministry for 23 years. In 1995, Dennis took a leap of faith when he stepped down as church pastor and stepped up to the microphone on stages and platforms all across America and the World. “The Swan” soon became “AMERICA’S MINISTER OF ENCOURAGEMENT”, a job he takes seriously as he continues to speak to about 150 organizations, faith-based groups and corporations every year. He has hosted two successful TV series, authored 9 books, and created over two dozen DVD/CD productions. Dennis is a graduate of Baylor University where he majored in both Greek and Religion (1976). He earned both a Master of Divinity (1980) and a Doctor of Ministry (1986) at Southwestern Seminary, Ft. Worth, TX. Dennis is married to the former Lauree Wilkes of Ft. Worth, TX. Dennis and Lauree have two grown sons. The Swans’ make their home in Granbury, Texas. Scott Turner - Scott Turner’s life story has included a robust NFL playing career (Washington Redskins, San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos) as well as a stint as Senior Advisor to the NFL’s Executive VP of Football Operations. Scott served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2013-2017 and then was called on to head the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council, working with HUD Secretary, Ben Carson, during the Trump administration. Scott currently serves as Associate Pastor at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX. And with a wealth of life experience, having been called to lead in so many capacities, Scott returns to M2M, as one of our finest guest communicators. Coach Shane Beamer - Shane Beamer, considered a rising star among head coaches in college football, most-recently led the University of South Carolina Gamecocks – in just his second season – to an impressive 8-4 record that included wins over top-ranked Tennessee and Clemson. In 2021, Shane’s inaugural season, the Gamecocks immediately improved from a previous-year 2-8, to 7-6 – along with a convincing bowl win over North Carolina. Shane came to Carolina from Oklahoma, leading one of the most dominant offenses in the country – including the 2018 team that led the nation in total offense, scoring offense and yards per play. Beamer has been an assistant coach at seven Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools for 21 seasons that included 17 bowl games and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The Charleston, SC native has returned to one of his previous stops, where he coached the Gamecocks in roles that included recruiting coordinator in 2009 and 2010, under Steve Spurrier. Nine of Beamer’s signees were selected in the NFL draft, including first-rounder Stephen Gilmore. Shane is the son of Hall of Fame coach, Frank Beamer and was his father’s associate head coach, and running backs coach, at Virginia Tech from 2011-15. In his first year there, Shane coached David Wilson who broke Tech’s single-season rushing record, was named All-American, the ACC Player of the Year and became a first-round draft selection of the New York Giants. He and his wife Emily have three children. Dr. Robert J Morgan-Robert recently transitioned to serve full time as leader of Robert J. Morgan Ministries, a nonprofit whose goal is to energize God’s people with a greater understanding and appreciation of the Bible and Christian heritage. Preceding this transition, Rob was involved in pastoral ministry for over 40 years in Nashville Tennessee. He is a best-selling, gold-Illuminations, and gold-medallion winning writer with more than 35 books in print and approximately 5 million copies in circulation in multiple languages. Rob has appeared on numerous television and radio shows. He speaks widely at churches, conferences, schools, and corporate events. Rob was also a homemaker and a caregiver for his late wife of 43 years, Katrina, who battled multiple sclerosis and passed away in November of 2019. He and Katrina have three daughters and sixteen grandchildren. In 2014, Rob was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from his alma mater, Columbia International University. Dr. David H. McKinley - Pastor/Teacher of Warren Baptist Church (Augusta and Grovetown, GA), author, and speaker, Warren A Way of Life television broadcast. Dr. McKinley has been in ministry for more than 30 years, proclaiming, inspiring and encouraging listeners with foundational truths from God’s Word. He has a unique ability to convert complex, biblical doctrine into understandable, everyday language that challenges and motivates change.
