Warm up your evening with a night of smokin’ live jazz, blues and soul music, featuring award-winning local musicians: Laura Rain and Emma Aboukasm. Tickets are $20 per person in advance, or $25 at the door. Proceeds will be donated to Alternatives for Girls. Beer, wine, and hard seltzer, as well as other light refreshments, will be available for sale. About the artists:Renowned Detroit-based musician Laura Rain has recorded four albums with her band, toured the U.S., Europe and Canada, and performed at numerous blues festivals. She’ll be joined by guitarist Alex Anest for a set of blues and acoustic soul for the evening.Emma Aboukasm is an award-winning, Detroit-based recording artist, vocalist, pianist, and composer. As a graduate of the Jazz & Contemporary Music at the University of Michigan, she performs in a variety of venues, ranging from intimate clubs like the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe to expansive stages like the Detroit Jazz Festival.
