Description
Looking for a mechanic or someone mechanically inclined to remove 1 stripped spark-plug out of vehicle engine. I would prefer if they already have the Ford spark-plug retractor set on hand.
2008 Ford 150 XLT
Cylinder 4 (rear passenger side)
As of right now, spark plug is intact(still working) but would not budge with prybar attached during other the removal process. I presoaked with PB Blaster then attacked it today and stripped it. Since the spark plug is not broke, I'm not sure the retractor set will work(unfamiliar with using it). My thought process is to JB weld a 9/16 socket onto it and hope for the best also not looking to take apart the engine afterwards.
If anybody has any suggestions, thoughts on the process, or can sell me on being able to do it... I'm all ears. Price is negatable if it can be done without the engine being taken apart with a, "you're the man" bonus! I'll also want to know your plans if it goes south and the worse possible outcomes which I'm well aware of.
I'm familiar with prices, labor costs, and what the job consists of so if you want a ridiculous amount of money... Get screwed like I already am!
Looking to do it after Christmas
