Established Country Band seeks Lead Guitar

We are currently a 4 piece band (drums, bass, pedal steel, rhythm guitar/vocals) seeking that final person to fill out our sound. All band members have been pro musicians for years. We’ve gigged out a fair amount during 2022 and are currently averaging about 30-50 folks following us to our shows, plus the built in crowds of course. We have a great sound, but lost our lead guitarist to the hectic demands of life, and we’re looking to fill his shoes. We play mostly red dirt oriented country, country classics, modern rock country and we throw in a few classic rock songs to mix it up in certain venues. Some artists we currently cover are: Cody Jinks Clint Black Brooks and Dunn Jason Isbell Blackberry Smoke Whiskey Meyers Luke Combs Cody Johnson Dwight Yoakam Johnny Cash Toby Keith Uncle Lucius Pecos and the Rooftops And much more….. The ideal person will be experienced in working bands, have professional equipment (guitars, amps, pedal boards, etc…) and must be willing and able to learn our set list, to include all signature fills and licks that go with these songs. We are not looking for a “just wing something in the right key” type of player. Country songs tend to have distinct, recognizable fills and background riffs that people are listening for, and our aim is to deliver on that. We practice once weekly, and have a dedicated, soundproofed, practice space with full PA and recording ability. We are on a brief gigging hiatus as we spin back up with the right people, but are looking to play out again towards the end of January, with the goal of orienting our efforts towards mostly festivals/rodeos/large honky tonks by late Spring. This is a great, hard working group of guys, who get along well….we’re just looking for that last person who is willing to grind to make it great!
