Thank you Dog Behaviorist

Description

A couple of years ago, I don’t remember when exactly, maybe 2 Christmases ago, I put a post on here about how to deal with visiting children for the holidays and my dog. I did what I thought was right. I let my dog smell the baby’s sock and then my beloved 15lb Shih-tzu went charging for the baby like a hound dog, barking incessantly and charging and trying to nip as we held the baby out of the way. I had never seen this behavior before. I reached out to this community for help as to what to do. A lot of you responded with some less than savory advice, but one person that said he/she was a behaviorist told me to simply ignore the dog. This by far was the best advice and has worked. My dog now acts like a bored cat when children come to visit. I don’t know who you are but I’ve been wanting to say thank you ever since. Merry Christmas.
