The Richland Seniors Association is hosting Joel W. Shepherd, a NASM certified Personal Trainer, ELDOA Spinal Therapy Trainer, ASFA Senior Fitness Instructor, and a Regenerative Therapy Coach at the Pacific Clinic in Kennewick, WA , provide this terrific, free presentation in its educations series for seniors.
Joel will present a discussion on the aging-process and how it relates to posture, the core-muscle's impact on spinal health to minimize back pain, and healthy ways to use exercises to improve the communication and connection between the brain and the body. At this event, he will guide participants through several exercise to improve balance, standing confidence, pelvic control, core strength, Lumbar/Thoracic pain relief, postural correction, breathing techniques, and brain/body awareness. The Pacific Clinic team will then break the participants into small groups to perform the exercises discussed. Lastly, if time allows, we will finish with some fun-paced group exercises driven by some enjoyable music to work on stamina, core strength, and mobility.
