Over 30 kinds of Natural colorants, Additives and Essential Oils for you to choose for making your own natural soap with us! The instructor, Jenny from Jade Soap Shop will take care of the lye solution making, which is the most intimidating for most people who are interested in soap making. So you can just relax and enjoy the fun of cold process soap making! Since you won't be handling the caustic materials (Jenny will make the lye solution for you), this workshop is friendly for anybody who is at least 12 years old and older. ** This workshop is for introductory and experience purposes. Must be at least 12 years old and older. What you need to bring: A face mask (strongly suggested. So you can protect your face while blending the materials)A thick towel for wrapping and keeping the soap insulated on your way homeThe disposable apron and gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring yours.Your safety goggles or eye glasses, or use what we provide.What you'll get: A loaf of 1-pound soap you mix and make in-class.A simple one-time-use soap mold will be provided or you can bring yours.A handout with the recipe.What you need to know about the workshop/class: We will be working with a chemical called "Sodium hydroxide (lye) " (Lye is used in the saponification process to turn oil into soap - no sodium hydroxide remains in the finished product.) Please be extra careful while handling the materials in class. (The teacher will handle it mostly, but still, please be careful!)THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR anybody who's at least 12 years old and older and it requires your full attention while making the cold process soap. No pets or kids allowed in the workshop for safety's sake. No food or alcoholic drinks allowed in-class for safety's sake.No walk-ins or sit-ins will be allowed for safety's sake.The reservation needs to be made and paid in advance, for we need to prepare everything in advance.
