The Duty to Engage
In these contentious times, engaging on political topics with those who are not of like mind can seem overwhelming. Yet, it is precisely in such moments that this work becomes more important than ever. Join us as we explore ways to engage more effectively with people from across the political spectrum.
Sarah Star Bio
Since 2012, Dr. Sarah Star has been teaching courses in Philosophy and Religion at Carroll Community College. In 2020, she founded the College’s Democracy Lab, an experimental, non-partisan initiative aimed at fostering our community’s commitment to the American project through the deployment of skills-building workshops and the kinds of facilitated discussions necessary to a healthy democracy. She lives in Westminster with her spouse and young son.
