"Shvester" means sister in Yiddish. Lori Leifer and Steve Sterner are seasoned Yiddish singers and actors straight from the NYC Yiddish Theater revival scene. We will be singing Yiddish songs of love and revolution - some classics like "Bai Mir Bistu Sheyn" and some lesser-known, but catchy, surprises! Lori (Shulamis) Leifer is an ainikl (direct descendant) of a Rabbinic dynasty and Steve Sterner is a professional musician in the silent film industry. We play from deep within our Jewish souls.
