Feeding the birds in the Powder Horn neighborhood

We have been feeding the birds in the Powder Horn / Corcoran neighborhoods... we buy the 40 pound bags of mixed seeds... seems like all the birds are coming to us and no matter how much we put out, it disappears quickly. I'm wondering if it's because people in general just don't feed the birds anymore. We're hoping we can encourage more people to chip in to feed the birds as we can't afford the monthly amount to feed them. Let us know if you want to purchase some seed and have us put it out... either way - anything you can do is much appreciated.
