Always wanted to learn basic Hieroglyphs and interested in taking our 8 week series of classes? Please come to this intro with Geoff who will go into what exactly will be covered in class and give you the chance to ask questions! The series will be limited to 8 attendees and coming to this free class will prepare you for the course. Info on the full series is below: Introduction to Egyptian Hieroglyphs is a 9-week course that will teach you the basics of reading ancient Egyptian. Explanations of how the writing system works and basic grammar presentations followed by progressive exercises will enable you to read simple funerary inscriptions and pharaonic names. Fee: $75 includes class materials. Class dates:Sundays - 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, 3/5, 3/12 Instructor: Geoff Soentpiet, a student of ancient Egyptian history, culture, language, and religion for over 15 years.
