We invite you to join Hercules' annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration, hosted by and held at Hercules Library. This year we are inspired by a powerful line from Dr. King`s I Have a Dream speech, as we embrace, honor, and pay tribute to Dr. King`s legacy through the rich history of African American music. Join us for storytelling, music, food, and community, as we Let Freedom Ring. 10am - Storytime, featuring local author Phelicia Lang 11am - A musical celebration of Black music with The Black Excellence Band 12pm - Music and dancing with DJ Christie James, food, and community And all day long we'll have crafts for children and teens, and will be spotlighting selections from our African American collection.
