The ACE Mentor Program of Greater Charlotte would like to invite high school students to participate in our Annual Trades Day event on Thursday, March 30th 2023, from 8:30am-1:00pm. Trades day is FREE to Chaperones & Students. Each INDIVIDUAL chaperone & Student MUST register ahead of time to participate. This will help with accurate food count. Deadline to register is February 24th. What is Trades Day, you ask? Trades Day is not a career fair. Trades Day introduces high school students to various construction trades through demonstrations and hands-on activities provided by local vendors. Trades Day is designed to educate students about immediate trade opportunities and benefits ACE Charlotte is partnering with the ABC of the Carolinas, Central Piedmont Community College, and The ROC to host Trades Day. This event will take place at CPCC Harper Campus using their state of the art facilities. Local trades have volunteered their time to present/demonstrate their skills in the industry. Students will be allowed to participate in these demonstrations. Safety goggles and gloves will be provided to students, however, students must wear close-toed shoes to participate.
