WHAT: A two mile race around the famous Silver Lake Reservoirs, free refreshments, free kid's 100m dash, post-race awards, and a raffle for all runners in The Meadow. Registration for the race automatically enters you into the raffle, and earns you our commemorative LONG SLEEVED hand silk-screened shirt / finisher medal designed by Jay Shelowitz. WHEN: Sunday, January 22, 2023. 9 am race start. WHERE: Meet at the Silver Lake Meadow: 2291 Silver Lake Blvd, LA CA 90026 WHY: First and foremost, this community gathering is a low-key, high-vibes fundraiser. Each race, we donate 50% of the proceeds to the Silver Lake Reservoirs Conservancy and divide up the other 50% to donate to youth running programs. This year, the other 50% raised will go to two elementary school running programs: The El Rio Flyers and Girls on The Run via Friends of Ivanhoe Elementary School. We also want people of all ages and abilities to enjoy our beautiful reservoirs and surrounding land. So whether you register to run (or walk, or stroll, or roll) or not at all, please join us on the day.
