Description
9:00am Start your day by learning Megan Hoffer’s proven, natural light system, The Rules of Light Quality, to shoot consistently in any weather, at any location, and at any time of day. Appropriate for those from beginner/hobbyist to experienced professional no matter what camera you own. Learn to identify the 4 different qualities of light and exactly how to shoot in each with natural light only. No flash needed! Learn to get those bright, glowing photos without losing the detail in the subjects. Classroom-style setting to start followed by real world natural light learning outside. 12:00 Lunch Break -- Lunch is on your own. Grab a fellow attendee and go for a walk around Lancaster to support our local small businesses! OR bring your own and hang out. 1:00 Now that you have a better understanding of the first step in taking a beautiful photo (placing your subject in "good light") we will learn the last 4 steps with Get More from Your Camera. Learn how to get the most of your camera’s powerful potential to take nearly perfect photos in camera so you can confidently show your clients the back of your camera on your shoots…and save yourself hours of editing while you’re at it! Whether you just got a new camera or have been a professional photographer for years, this class is sure to teach you something new about taking gorgeous portraits on shoots and making sure you don’t miss anything at weddings. No more fear of being asked, “Can I see it?” on a shoot or worrying if your photos will be in focus when you get them home after a wedding. 4:00 Finally, we will split up, taking our cameras outside to practice everything learned in class! After completing this workshop, you will be able to take near perfect natural light portraits in camera, confidently and accurately — every time. Attendees are welcome to stay past sunset until 6:00pm for continued practice inside and/or questions during the winter months.
