Rehoming special needs cat

This is “kitty” we tried to give him a name, but kitty is what he responded to, and that’s just what we kept calling him. I started working at a vet about 7/6 years ago… and this sweet boy was living there. He had been surrendered due to the owners wanting to euthanize him due to him having feline leukemia.. if you don’t know what that is. It weakens his immune system, it is highly contagious to other cats(which is why they are usually euthanized) and they may not be able to fight infections like w healthy cat would. As you can see this little guys eye is underdeveloped, due to his leukemia. But it doesn’t bother him one bit. He gets around find. He is the most loving cat I have EVER encountered. He wants to be held. He likes to sit on your shoulders. He will sit on your lap, and snuggle all day if you let him. He’s been around our two big dogs. Of course it took about a week for them to warm up at first but now they wrestle. He loves catnip. He is NOT up to date on vaccines, because I’m afraid to take him to the vet and expose him to all the sick kitties. So I just keep him home. If you live in the middle of no where, he would love some outside time. He hangs around the house & sun bathes. And comes to the door when he’s ready to come in. The only issue we have noticed with his sickness is sometimes he will occasionally have a short asthma attack. If you rub his neck it helps him calm down. We don’t know his exact age. But I would assume 10-11. The reason I’m rehoming him is I’m severely allergic but I kept him anyway. Before we moved to our new house we were staying at our in-laws and when we moved he stayed there, well he is still there and my asthma, and allergies have been SO much better. I didn’t realize how much he was affecting my health. I’m going to miss him dearly. Truly this is breaking my heart He needs a home with NO OTHER CATS. I am asking a rehoming fee, just to insure that he is going to be taken care of. He just needs a home where someone will snuggle him & love him until it’s his time to go. Once you meet him, you will fall in love. Truly.
