Description
Freya is about 6 month old female and what looks to be a pit/lab mix but we aren't sure as we never saw her parents. She was a "free puppy" from Walmart parking lot that my daughter about jumped out of my moving van to get to her. We took her home with us to keep her from ending up in a bad situation so we aren't going to let her go to just anyone. She is house trained and has her puppy shots but will need her rabies/shots updated and to be fixed. We were told she had shots done at Lazy 5 vet but we went ahead and gave her tractor supply 10 in one vaccine to be on safe side. She's Super sweet and very food motivated so she should be easy to train to do pretty much anything. She already knows sit and "go to bed" which means for her to get in her crate for bedtime. Loves dogs, kids and especially cats. She wants so bad to play with the kitties but mine don't really want anything to do with her. It isn't really Freya's fault on why we are seeking to rehome her. We just weren't really equipped to add a puppy to our home. Our other dogs are older and we forgot how trying the puppy phase can be and how much work it takes. My husband and I both work and the kids only help the bare minimum. Which means the majority of her care falls onto me and with me working I just don't have the energy she needs. It's not fair to her, she has a wonderful temperament and would do well in most families. She does have to be crated at night as she's in her puppy chewing phase. I will include her crate if needed, it is from our older dogs' puppy years so a bit beat up but works just as intended. Or we have a larger great Dane sized crate in our storage building that is in better shape. We don't use it as it takes up a lot of floor space. It's the 42 or 46 inch size crate. She eats Purina dog chow and we mix in wet dog food (and boiled chicken/rice sometimes). She loves treats and has to have chew toys and bones to keep her from chewing things she shouldn't. She's still a puppy and has to have a safe outlet for it or stuff gets chewed. She is a medium energy dog. Would make a great walking/light running companion. I would say she would do best with kids 5+ only because we haven't been able to break the jumping when she's excited habit. She's still very young so with training, that shouldn't be a problem. Your welcome to email me any questions and I will do my best to answer. Thank you.
