Award for Best Blues Guitarist by the Blues Foundation and Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival performer, Artur Menezes comes to Joshua Tree in California for a one night only with his mind blowing trio: Poliana on the bass and Joel "JC" Clark on the drums! Get ready for a night full of psychedelic blues rock jams, including songs from his last 4 albums and some unreleased material. At the Furstwurld on January 14th. Doors Open at 7pm. As a highly energetic guitarist, singer and songwriter, Art impresses the crowds with his feeling and showmanship. Although very much influenced by blues, he crosses genres with psychedelic rock, funk and brazilian rhythms such as “baião”, creating his own voice and sound, which has been attracting younger audiences and helping to keep the blues alive. Besides touring all over the world, Artur also teaches at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. Poliana Magalhaes is a brazilian bass player based in California. She plays with names such as Adam Lambert (Queen), Willow Smith, Ozomatli, Larry Braggs (Tower of Power) and many others. While still living in Brazil, Poliana was playing for lots of mainstream acts and she was also in the house band from a major TV Show. Joel JC Clarke is a drummer from UK based in Los Angeles. He's famous for playing with Jessie J and other mainstream acts. JC graduated at Berklee College of Music.
