Need Someone to House my Elderly Gerbil

Description

Moving out of state in January and I cannot take my elderly male gerbil with me. His name is Boris and he turned 3 years old on the 16th of December. I had him and his brother Ivan since they were babies and Ivan died of a random stroke half a year ago. I didn't expect Boris to outlive his brother by so long. I don't know how much longer he'll live. For his age, he is healthy and active with no signs of illness. He still spends all day burrowing and chewing and foraging for food. The only difference I've noticed is that he is slower and easy to scoop up, where it used to be impossible when he was in his prime. Like most gerbils, he is not affectionate. He is hand tame partially due to his old age. He will accept gentle petting if you give him food to eat. He has never once bitten me or anyone I know. If you're looking to get more gerbils anyways, it would be a great idea to buy two very young male baby gerbils from a breeder to introduce to him. I think he misses having someone to cuddle and groom. He will come with his glass 40-gallon aquarium and food and anything else I have for him. I can meet halfway within an hour drive for the right home. I will want to talk about basic gerbil care before I agree to meet up. I care about my gerbil very much and I won't give him to just anyone.
