Join us for a magical evening Under The Stars at this years Homeschool Prom 2023. All NC and VA homeschoolers are welcome to attend along with their guest (guest can be homeschooled or other). Heavy hors d'oeuvres provided throughout the evening as well as a fantastic DJ and photographer. The festivities begin at 6pm at the beautiful Barn at Heritage Farms in Dobson, NC. Please come dressed to impress (formal, modest attire required) and ready to have a great time! Time: This year's prom will be from 6-10pm. We will begin check-in at 5:45pm, but students will not be allowed to enter the venue until 6pm. Ages: This event will be for homeschoolers and their age appropriate guest. Ages for this event are 14-19 year's of age. Location: The Barn at Heritage Farms in Dobson, NC. For parents who intend on staying close by during the event; I highly recommend visiting some of our local restaurants for a relaxing evening without the kiddos. The Depot - Dobson, 13 Bones - Mount Airy, Chilis - Mount Airy, Chase N Charlies - Mount Airy, Pirates Landing - Elkin are just a few popular restaurants in the area. Event Attire: Formal Attire Required! Young men are encouraged to wear a tux ,suit or dress pants with a dress shirt. Young ladies are encouraged to select a modest, formal gown reflective of the event and venue. Gowns/Dresses should be at least knee length. Long dresses with slits will need for slits to be sewn together above the knee. Please make sure tops are modest and do not expose unnecessary cleavage and chest. I highly recommend and encourage straps on all dresses and tops as students will be moving around a great deal; having fun and dancing. Any student arriving with inappropriate attire will be kindly asked to return home to change or we will have a select number of items for them to choose from that they may wear for the remainder of the evenings events. Homeschoolers and Guest, please respect all the hard work and time that has gone into making this night magical by adhering to the dress code as requested above. Homeschoolers, please make sure your guest reads through the event attire section of this event as I would hate for anyone to feel embarrassed, out of place, or singled out due to misinformation. Photography: Parents are permitted to come inside to take a few photos, but will not be allowed to remain indoors during the event unless you are already assigned as a chaperone. We will have a professional photographer on site who will be taking both candid as well as studio shots throughout the evening. Prints will be emailed to each student who chooses to have photos taken, and pricing will be sent out via email prior to the event. All attendees will be expected to conduct themselves in a polite, respectful manner while attending event; to include appropriate dancing and care of facility.
