We got Kiwi six months ago as a baby to keep our other parakeet company. Unfortunately, as sweet as Kiwi is with people, he bullies our other bird by chasing him away from the food and water bowls constantly. We are looking for a family to take Kiwi as an only bird for this reason. He does not bite as long as you are gentle. Parakeets can live over 20 years if they are well cared for but they are delicate little creatures and not recommended for very young children. He comes with a small cage and some toys. Rehoming fee applies. He will be a long time friend for you and a great Christmas gift for a responsible kid! I can show you how to trim his flight feathers to keep him from injuring himself by flying into a window or ceiling fan. (This does not hurt them if done correctly; it's like getting a haircut) We are in NW Cape Coral near Mariner High School.
