Job description:
Motorcoach drivers typically do the following:
Checking the motor coach or bus for damage and malfunctions before, during, and after the trips they take
Counting the number of passengers and ensuring everyone makes it back to the bus after each stop during a trip
Checking road conditions and GPS directions to ensure they are on the safest and most efficient routes
Maintain flexible schedules with the ability to be away from home for long periods because trips can be several days long
Addressing customer complaints professionally
Becoming a tour guide for the locations where they drive, which is often optional
Keeping their motor coach clean and presentable to the public
Letting their passengers, management, and other motor coach drivers on their trip delays
Qualifications:
As a condition of employment, all applicants must submit background checks that include: State Criminal History, FBI Clearance, Child Abuse History Clearance, and DOT and other background verification processes.
A valid commercial driver’s license, Class B with passenger endorsement and air brake
Minimum of ten(10) years of driving experience (commercial or private)
Good character and positive work history
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random alcohol and drug screens after employment
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Pass a pre-employment physical
The hiring team will review dishonorable discharge and felony convictions.
Excellent map reading and navigational skills
Ability to work with others and accomplish goals in a team environment
Ability to work flexible hours and be available for extended trips
