We entered Publix at the same time on Friday December 16th before 4:30PM I first saw you from behind. You were plainclothes and I noticed the law enforcement items on your belt along with your service side-arm and municipal police department badge. You looked beautiful from behind but I expected nothing more as you are no doubt a professional. You turned to me with that beautiful face, a friendly smile and warm acknowledgement - something rare these days from fellow humans especially since the start-of-the-pandemic. We exchanged looks not 10 minutes later when we both entered the same aisle (one that only you and I would know). I was hoping to see you again for a third time but alas I departed before you. I am a pessimist but you restored some optimism in me as these interactions are so rare in South Florida as almost everyone is cold & out for themselves. Needless to say - I thought about you all night! I am sure you will read this as you are a detective but you made this middle-aged man's day.
