Hoping to play in a band with emphasis on melody and groove with room for a little improvisation. I like jazzy chord progressions (but not crazy complicated). Funky rhythms. Life-affirming music with positive, non-substance-oriented people. Originals or covers. I'm not into metal, hard rock, or country. I'm up for being part of starting up a band if you have a good drummer and front person. I want to play out some--not just jam sessions. I can practice one evening a week. I've been playing for 45 years (older, but not stale!).
