Description

This is a hand-building clay playshop introducing you to various methods of hand-building clay, including coil, pinch, slab, stamp and sprig application. You will create your original piece of pottery using any or all of the methods. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage to enjoy while playing with clay! To turn clay into a finished durable food-safe ceramic, your creation will need to dry for several days, be fired in the bisque kiln (1888° F), application of food-safe glaze, and then back in the kiln for the glaze firing (2167°F). You will be notified when your piece is ready to be picked up or mailed to you (shipping fee would apply) if you are traveling through town, in 2-3 weeks.
