You're invited to join outdoor guide, Trek Reef, on a Guided Forest Bathing Walk in celebration of Imbolc / Midwinter Day on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 2:00 - 4:30 PM. $18.00 per person. Preregistration required. Immerse yourself in the midwinter forest and experience the restorative practice of shinrin-yoku, Japanese for "forest bathing." We'll journey through a series of invitations to engage our senses and deepen our connection with the more-than-human world. Studies suggest that a regular practice of forest bathing may boost the immune system, lower stress hormones, improve creativity, and foster reciprocity. Limit of eight (8) spots, pre-registration required for meeting location. This walk will be held outdoors, so please dress for the weather. Light rain, flurries, or shine! Not suitable for children under 13. Youth 13 and older may participate with a responsible adult. All participants must be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus due to the group nature of the walk. This forest bathing experience may be canceled or postponed in accordance with public health orders and/or inclement weather.
