Join us at The Boulders for a full moon stroll through the woods looking for, listening to, and learning about these nocturnal birds. Note that while it is possible, there is no guarantee of seeing or hearing an owl. We will be walking slowly and stopping frequently. Difficulty: Moderate, uneven terrain in low-light What to Bring: Please bring water and a headlamp or flashlight, wear sturdy footwear, and layers. Consider snowshoes or micro-spikes, depending on the weather. BNRC has a few pairs of both to loan if needed. Directions: To the trailhead parking area on Gulf Road, Dalton: take routes 8/9 east from the center of Pittsfield. Take a left onto Park Avenue in Dalton, past Craneville School. Take a left onto Gulf Road. Park at the pull-off on the left, opposite the parking for the Appalachian Trail.
