Description
Everyone is not joyful during Christmas.
This can be a difficult time for many people, especially those who have had to deal with illness or loss.
You might feel like you just want to stay in bed until after the New Year arrives.
Come be with us.
Being with others, where you don't have to put on a happy face can go a long way in helping us find strength and even inspiration during this holiday season.
A Blue Christmas service creates a sacred time and space for people feeling sad, alone, depressed or heart broken during the holiday season.
This reflective time of worship offers healing and hope in the midst of despair..
You are invited to come and join us for a time of fellowship, music, prayer and reflection at our Blue Christmas Service, Wednesday, Dec. 21, 6:30 PM at The Congregational Church of Park Manor on the corner of 70th and King Drive.
Also called the Longest Night because this service is usually held on the longest night of the year, the winter soltice which is Dec. 21st.
The Congregational Church of Park Manor is ministering to the community with renwed energy and love. Under the new leadership of Rev. Jamie D. Hawley, we are stepping out on faith to do what God has called us to do - make faith relevant in the lives of God's people.
This community event is a collaboration with The Congregational Church of Park Manor, Hughes Church Consulting (Rev. Michelle Hughes) and Urban Possibilities (Eyvette Jones Johnson).
