A reading of selected scenes from the new play SOME SORT OF SAINT written by Linda Bright Clay and James Crumb. Some Sort of Saint takes us on a ride through the streets of Chicago’s notorious Southside as we see a young girl navigate through childhood trauma, gang life, drug addiction and imprisonment. Mica finds herself highly involved with Flukey Stokes’ drug empire at a young age, and it isn’t until years later during her last prison stay that she’s able to face the demons of her past. Join us as we unfold the compelling life story of Dr. Mica Battle.
