Full time, commercial construction/maintenance person for commercial property management company. We are seeking an experienced individual with a diverse range of skills and a good understanding of building systems. Responsibilities to include construction, maintenance, repairs and grounds work (including snow removal). Must be organized, dependable, detail oriented and a self-starter. Must be willing to respond to after-hours emergencies and accept overtime assignments when needed. Position requires travel to various facilities around Connecticut. Requirements: • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial construction, property maintenance and repair. • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices including metal stud framing, drywall, doors/frames, hardware, ceilings, flooring • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, roof repairs, HVAC, masonry, glass repairs, lock repairs/changes, commercial building systems • Comfortable climbing ladders and working on rooftops as needed • Capable of lifting 50-100 pounds • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record • Excellent communications skills (verbal & written) • Computer/smart phone proficiency • Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions • Good people skills to interact with tenants, contractors, team members and management • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities • 100% trustworthy • Must live within 30 min of New Haven for on-call duty We offer excellent benefits including: • Medical, dental and vision insurance • Paid vacation, holidays and sick/personal days • 401K with employer match Salary DOE.
