This was originally posted in Sept. but due to a severe family illness we were unable to follow through at that time. With that resolved we want to start auditions the first of Jan. Guitarist and drummer in their mid-50's who have worked the Triad in various bands, both together and separate, since 1985 are building a new band from the bottom up. We've played over15 of those years together and have hundreds of gigs under our belt. If you don't want to put in the work to build your own thing then this isn't for you. Our aim is a show focused on 80's hair/glam metal adding in some 70's, 90's and early 2000's hard and alternative rock. Drummer has fronted a band as lead vocalist. He was formally with Buster Gnome as lead vocalist. Once we find the right drummer to replace him, he will get going out front as lead vocalist. My last long term project was as the founding member and lead guitarist for Cold Heart. Our first goal is to find a bass player. Quality backing vocals required. Lead vocal ability for a few songs is a big plus. Though as we create this band we will also be looking at adding another lead guitarist since, for various reasons, my manual dexterity isn't what it was a few years ago though I can still handle any rhythm parts and some lead. Right now we're focused on a bass player. Goal is to build a show from scratch with high production value. While getting paid is always a goal, if that is your sole interest we won't be for you. If you know the Triad you know what the money looks like already. As the guitarist out of the two of us I play lead and rhythm guitar, drums and do backing vocals. That's in addition to management and bookings (though I'm more than willing to share or give up management and booking responsibilities.) What do we provide aside from experience? A full PA system totaling about 5000 watts, a secure, comfortable, air conditioned rehearsal space and places already waiting for us to bring out this next project. Drummer/lead vocalist and guitarist own pro gear. You should too. Bands we'd like to cover include: Dio, Ozzy, Cinderella, Dokken, Motley Crue, Warrant, Metallica, Megadeath, Scorpions, Ratt, Aerosmith, Poison, Skid Row, Three Door Down, Theory of a Deadman and so on. Songs and bands aren't locked yet. Personnel will determine the final product. You'll need to be able to rehearse in Winston Salem one to two times a week initially. Once we start gigging formal rehearsals will be cut to once or twice a month We also aren't looking for outsized egos so you must play well and have respect for others. Auditions start in Jan. Thanks,
