Entry Level or Journeyman Tile Finishers Needed! No Exp. Necessary. Topeka, KS Our client is looking for Tile Finishers to join their team. They will train you to become a journeyman tile finisher. No experience required. Learn a valuable trade! If you have experience, please apply. They are looking for Journeyman as well. Meet your ride in Topeka and travel around the area for work on a weekly basis. Per Diem included! Responsibilities: • Install tile strips. • Align and straighten tile using levels, squares, and straightedges. • Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces. • May prepare cost estimates and orders. • Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowel. • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout. • Prepare, measure and mark surface to be covered. • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles. • Cut, polish, and install marble and granite. • Build under beds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets. • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs. • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools. • Set tiles in position and apply pressure to affix tiles to base. Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED • Hard Worker – Willing to learn • Ability to move 50 lbs. continuously Spanish speaking a plus, but not required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and have the ability to legally work in the U.S.
