Marion County will join together January 2023 to celebrate the 94th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.scheduled on January 14th, 15th and 16th, 2023. Events will include the annual Saturday morning $15 donation toward, annual prayer breakfast, wreath ceremony and youth day on January 14th, an ecumenical service Sunday evening January 15th and the culmination of festivities with recognition and acknowledgement of the many groups who contribute to the advancement of the principles Dr. King espoused on Monday, January 16th when thousands will parade from the town square to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex for the Day in the Park.
