Hello Beautiful People, Thank you for being patient with me as we are scheduling HEART Training for January. I hope each of you are enjoying the holidays and all the excitement leading up to. I am very excited to share that I will be facilitating a HEART (Healing Ethno-Racial Trauma) training on January 19th and Friday January 20th. This training will be held IN PERSON. The training will be held at 49 Kessel ct. Madison, WI, 53711. This training will take place in Room #276. MASKS ARE REQUIRED while in the building. The training will be held from 9am-3pm both Thursday and Friday. I would be pleased if you all were able to attend. Please share this with other school folks and individuals who may be interested in becoming a HEART facilitator. Again, this training is designed for those who plan on facilitating HEART groups and those who would like to learn more about the HEART Program. Clinicians, school social workers and school counselors are welcome. I have spent so much time designing this program and putting together this curriculum; so, I am very excited to share the updates and changes. HEART has been very impactful in such a short time. This is also a great learning opportunity, and I am hoping to see both some familiar and new faces. I PROMISE, you will not want to miss this! Also, Lunch will be 45 mins so there will be some time to leave the site to grab a bite to eat. Snacks will be provided but please feel free to also bring your own. If you have any food restrictions as I will be gathering things for us to snack on, please email me privately and we can discuss accommodations. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email and we can continue to consult there. Lastly, a reminder that attendees must identify as BIPOC. If interested in facilitating a HEART group, HEART facilitators must also identify as BIPOC. We are creating an affinity space where we can instill impact in our youth and provide them with a safe place to process their racial experiences and racailized trauma. Facilitators keep in mind that HEART is a 10-week session, and you must be available to facilitate all 10 sessions. More details will be shared in the training.
