Sammie Hershock is a Michigan-based singer songwriter with songs that catch your ear and grab you by the soul. New to the scene but seasoned in the craft- in the past year Sammie has released an EP and three singles, received a “One-to-Watch” nomination from Nashville Songwriters Association, won the NSAI mid-michigan Chapter Songwriting Contest, and won third place in the West Michigan Songwriter’s Competition. Often compared to Joni Mitchell and Carole King, Sammie’s keyboard led performances offer detailed and meticulous lines- hinting at her classical music background, contrasted with lyrics and melodies as grounded and heartfelt as she is.
