Description

Sustainable Building Week networking is too much fun to keep it once a year. We’ll supply the drinks, light snacks, and a few topics of discussion. Bring your vaccinated self and be reminded of how much inspiration and business occurs when we talk face to face. During January we will be hosting Laura Squillace, Architect at Green Hammer Design Build, who will present on the early phases of resiliency planning efforts with Rose Villa’s Senior Living. In addition to sharing their facilitation process, she will discuss the aspirational yet achievable goals they have set for strengthening the 22 acre campus’ resiliency to climate change, earthquakes, wildfire smoke, heat waves, winter power outages, etc. They will also explore their client’s sustainability goals and how these various strategies can be appropriately phased, scaled, and synchronized to optimize the campus’ resiliency over time. Come down and have some fun! All sustainability friends are invited whether you’re in design, construction, academia, government, business, manufacturing, or something else. All are welcome because it will take all of us to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. Masks are not required in the well-ventilated, often open air “decony”.
