WEEK 5 Beginner
Gartside's Gurgler. The Gurgler is a pattern from famed tyer Jack Gartside. The Gurgler can be used to catch many species including stripers, bass and panfish. The simple combination of a foam, chenille and bucktail make for a fly that can make a lot of noise and vibrations on the surface. Retrieve the Gurgler with long slow pulls to make a wake or with quick jerks to make the water pop or "gurgle".
