CLASS STRUCTURE: The class will be a 7 week learn to knit class (6 weeks of knitting class, one week of graduation). This class will be great for anyone who has never picked up a needle in their life or tried to teach themselves to knit unsuccessfully. This class isn't your grandma's knitting class. There will be laughter, there will be beer, there will be swear words! CLASS SCHEDULE: The class will begin on January 19, 2023 and will be held on Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm. Graduation will be held on March 2nd and will include one beer ticket and some light snacks. CLASS PROJECTS: During the course of the 6 week class, the student will complete 3 projects. Knit square dishclothPattern dishcloth (10 patterns to choose from)14" square throw pillow cover (pillow included)CLASS SKILLS: During the course of the 6 week class, the student will learn the following skills: Casting on/Casting (binding) off stitches The knit (garter) stitchThe purl stitchAlternating between knit and purl stitchesPattern reading/knitting abbreviationsSewing/Assembling knitted projectsCLASS FEE: The class will cost $45 per person and will be capped at 15 people. The fee includes: Weekly lesson plans taught by Tyla Davis. Each lesson plan will come with a handout with pictures and directions for future review. There will also be a weekly video emailed to class members that review what skills were taught in class.
