Description

Coming to the Table - Historic Triangle invites you to attend our 4th annual Greater Williamsburg National Day of Racial Healing observance on Tuesday January 17th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. We are bringing together the Greater Williamsburg community for evening at Corey's Catering and Venue Rental for a special time of sharing food and experiences that will lead to a candlelighting service led by faith leaders and a reception catered by Corey's Catering. Everyone who attends will receive a complimentary copy of the The Little Book of Racial Healing by Tom DeWolf and Jody Geddes, co-managers of Coming to the Table - National. Also we are introducing the "Table Builder" award to recognize organizations that are helping to heal the Greater Williamsburg community by working collaboratively to extend a "seat at the table" for marginalized voices. Three local organizations will receive our inaugural "Table Builder" award. Admission is free but registration is required. This event is powered by the Virginia Racial Healing Institute, Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center and Sentara Complex. Every participant will receive a copy to the "must read" book The Little Book of Racial Healing by Tom DeWolf and Jodie Geddes, national co-managers of Coming to the Table.
