GCP’s mission is deeply rooted in a commitment to improve quality of healthcare to unmet needs of children in developing countries. To achieve this, we teamed up with Deseret Hospital.
Deseret Hospital in Accra, the capital of Ghana, has provided steadfast compassionate and quality support of diverse medical services to those in need since 1978.
The Global Compassion Project (GCP) was founded to address unmet health needs of children in developing countries. GCP and Deseret Hospital in Accra, Ghana, are collaborating to make a lasting impact on individual and family lives, starting with the timely administration of the “at birth vaccine” & HBIG against Hepatitis B to at risk We are also helping to protect newborns seen at Deseret Hospital with the at birth vaccine.
Additionally, we are administering the Hepatitis B vaccine to nursing students at risk prior to their program admission to reduce their occupational risk of contracting this disease.
Our initial goal is to vaccinate 75 kids per month over the next 12 months.
Our founder, Member of Ghana’s National Parliament, Dr. Dickson Kissi, will appraise Ghanian governmental officials of our progress and share the outcome and data.
