The WNY Area Labor Federation will hold its Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Luncheon on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 12:30 pm, at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Dr. King’s legacy of fighting for civil and human rights closely mirrors the principles of organized labor, which fights for workers’ rights and fair treatment in the workplace. Together these two movements set the foundation in which every individual should be treated with dignity and respect. This is the core expectation of equity, inclusion, and justice. This year we will recognize labor and community members who have worked toward preserving, protecting, and/or educating people about civil, human, and workers' rights.
